About Mr. Joe
Joseph McCarthy began playing the alto saxophone in the school concert band in fifth grade. During high school he switched to baritone saxophone. While In high school he received a guitar and began to study the instrument extensively. After graduating From Fraser High School he went on to attended Adrian College, majoring in music. After working as a freelance musician and teacher for several years Joe started working in the tech industry.
Teaching Philosophy
Music is a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, fostering a sense of community and personal expression. As a music educator, my philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to appreciate, create, and perform music, regardless of their background or skill level.

Why Teaching?
