About Ms. Lilly

Lillian Gagnon is a 22-year-old violinist from Goodrich, Michigan. She has been playing violin since she was 9 years old, and studied at the Flint Institute of Music for 8 years, where she participated in chamber ensembles, orchestras, and community performances. Teaching Philosophy

I believe in inspiring a passion for music in my students by teaching them in a way that is creative, adaptive, engaging, and suited to their individual learning styles.

Why Teaching?

I love the satisfaction that teaching music gives me for many reasons: When a student understands a rhythm correctly or remembers what a musical term means, I share their excitement. When they begin exploring different music genres on their own, I feel overjoyed because I can see they have a real passion for music. Finally, having been a violin student myself for many years, I want to give back to the community by sharing my knowledge and love of music with others.
