Mr. Tony
Violin, Viola, & Piano Teacher
About Me
Mr. Tony is currently studying Piano Pedagogy at Oakland University under Dr. Tian Tian and Dr. Happel. His main instrument is the piano, but he also plays the violin and viola. He is a recipient of the Jennifer Scott Memorial Award for teaching. Mr. Tony was born in Mexico and moved to Michigan eight years ago, making him fluent in both English and Spanish.
My teaching philosophy is to understand and embrace the curiosity everyone has for music, then use music as a way to help my students become better versions of themselves.
Teaching Philosophy
During any given lesson, students are listening and challenging themselves constantly. In this process of learning, not only are they becoming better musicians, but also becoming better people. The main reason why I teach is not only to share my craft but to teach lessons that my students can use in their own lives and hopefully help them build something they can be proud of.
