About Me
Ms. Corrie has been a church pianist for almost 30 years and a music director for close to 20 years. She has performed in recitals, competitions, weddings, events, and many church specials. She plays mostly piano, as well as flute, guitar, organ, and recorder. She is a proud mom of five kids. She spent a few years as a bookkeeper and a couple of years as a paralegal, but her passion has always been music.
Music is a powerful language, sometimes in my opinion as mighty as the pen. It is important to wield music properly, for the good of yourself and others. I have also discovered personally how healing music can be. There are other facets to music, but I want each student to understand that music is more than a hobby. It is a necessity in one’s life.
Teaching Philosophy
I want each student to discover the joy of music. Practice and training can be tedious at times, yet with some creativity even those moments have the potential of producing joy and love for what a student is working towards. My goal is to make the journey not only tailored for each student’s needs but a thing of joy in their life, as well as a lifelong love for music.

I earned a black belt in Cha Yun Do alongside three of my kids!

My family has a dog, two cats, sheep, and chickens, and we occasionally care for ducks and turkeys!

I love spending time up north near Lake Huron and collect way too many pretty rocks!
