Violin, Piano, & Voice Teacher

About Me

Emma is a senior music major at Oakland University. She teaches voice, piano, and violin at the Rochester Hills and Oxford locations and frequently accompanies students at MSBOA Solo and Ensemble events. Emma is a member of the Oakland Chorale and loves to sing. She is also an avid synthesizer player and competes as a member of the Phantom Regiment, a top World Class drum corps in the Drum Corps International circuit. Upon completing her degree in the spring of 2027, she plans to move to Texas and pursue a Master’s in Vocal Performance.

It’s my goal to support individual students’ learning styles while providing a solid foundation of technique, musical knowledge, and methods for retention.

Teaching Philosophy

I teach because I see my younger, piano-love-struck face in that of my students. Their eagerness to learn music, which I love so much, makes me happy. I’m grateful to step into the same role my teachers took on for me to cultivate my passion for music.

Fun Facts About Me

  • In addition to Drum Corps International, I also compete in WGI, an indoor percussion circuit, during the fall and winter!

  • I started rock climbing in the fall of 2025 and am excited for the many climbing gyms in my future home city of Dallas!

  • I’ve played the violin since 4th grade, but singing and piano are my favorite instruments!
